Short-term exchange of students to Agios Nikolaos (Greece)

During this learning activity the Greek partner showed the rest the most outstanding features of its cultural heritage using the five senses through visits and workshops. The hearing and the sight  played the main part because they were directly related to the final tasks carried out.

What had students prepared BEFORE the mobility?

Common song :
Partners chose “Ode to Joy” by Ludwig van Beethoven as the song to be sung in all national languages and English. All partners exchanged a short video showing their students sing the first stanza of this song in their language - Greek, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish. Each video also included subtitles for the other partners to be able to sing along and prepare for the common singing session in Greece. All the videos were exchanged through Youtube.
Tutorial on traditional dances: each partner  agreed on a dance to represent its country. Students  made and send a tutorial video to their fellows abroad for them to practice. These tutorials were also uploaded on Youtube before the short-term exchange, so that students could learn and practice the dances beforehand.
Glossary in progress
The Greece hosting partner created and sent the video to show how the set of words and expressions are spoken and written in Greek. Students copied them in the chart while they were watching and practicing before the mobility.
The board game: The Greek association created 20 more cards for the game. These cards  include questions, images, symbols dealing with any aspect related to the visit to its country.
